A study of the properties of weld heat-affected zones in steel plate designed for marine service at low temperatures. This report includes the examination of two steels suitable for marine service. The main differences between the two steels are in the C, Nb, Ti, and Mo contents. These steels are compared to the properties of steels previously examined. Also includes a study of normalized and aged Mn-Mo-Nb-V steels, development of heavy wall high strength bent pipe for artic usage, and weldability of steels for X70+ and rare-earth treated steels.
