This document is intended to provide an overview of the Pipeline Research Council International’s (PRCI) process of developing research data and associated management. The review includes lessons learned and recommendations to improve the process with the goal of a more efficient transformation of data into power for the pipeline transportation industry.

The spreadsheet EULA needs to be included on a tab of the spreadsheet as well as included as a separate document (this pdf) zipped with the spreadsheet. (Last revised 6/5/2025) If a report to be published includes a spreadsheet (zipped together with the report), include a copy of the Pipeline Research Council Spreadsheet EULA. The report abstract should be appended with a statement indicating that a spreadsheet and a corresponding EULA is included in the document. For example: This download includes a copy of the report and a copy of the Excel based Check Mate software (aka Checkmate). The spreadsheet and the associated report are licensed to single users as noted in the end- user license agreement that is contained in the zip file.

Because PRCI is a non-profit member organization, special provisions are required to track not only how expenses on project occur but also when they occur. For example, charges that span across a calendar year must be broken out by year; as such, it is best to submit an invoice reflecting charges through December 31 and a separate invoice for charges on or after January 1. To ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner, it is important that invoices meet PRCI requirements per the associated document. The attached template is a suitable format for an invoice.
